About Us
The Ayesha Group was formed in October 2005 with the aims of serving the local Muslim community. Our first project was to start a secondary girls school. We started with a few girls and Alhamdulillah by September 2008 we had 4 classes (45 pupils).
Thanks to the whole community we have raised funds by various means including holding a few Family Fun days which, together with kind and generous donation from the community, have enabled us to build a new science and IT labs in the summer of 2007.
Secondary Girls School
All children have a right to a broad, balanced and relevant education which provides continuity and progression and takes individual differences into account.
The Secondary Girls school aims to provide an education to its pupils, through the curriculum. Our initial aim to to provide education for years 7 – 11 (i.e. up to GCSE) with a future provision for providing ‘A' level education. Parents/Guardians sending their daughters to the School can be confident that their child(ren) will be well looked after and will be given supportive help and spiritual encouragement. The School provides a warm and friendly and caring atmosphere – all of which promotes a good learning environment.
Our school aims to provide a well-balanced programme and solid foundation for future studies while promoting good character and Islamic identity in a homely, nurturing environment. Our pupils represent all abilities, ethnicities, social backgrounds and Islamic schools of thought, and we welcome this diversity. We offer most National Curriculum subjects in addition to Islamic Studies, Qur'an and Arabic as a Modern Foreign Language. We are also piloting new integrated, thematic study units being developed by The Quest Foundation for Learning, and incorporate international dimensions in much of our teaching.
