In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Uniform

The uniform plays an important role in upholding the ethos and values for the school and in setting an appropriate tone. Students are expected to maintain a modest, tidy and clean appearance at all times in accordance with the Sunnah.  Students need to be suitably dressed for the working day. A smart appearance helps to maintain high esteem in the community.

The Sixth Form uniform consists of:

  • a hijab covering all their hair with jilbab (abaya). There are no colour restrictions (although we do not expect radical colours to be worn e.g. brightly coloured garments etc ). However the jilbab must be smart and simple, loose, opaque and monotone.
Please Note: The outer garment must be a jilbab, a long maxi type of garment has the effect of showing the body countours and hence on its own does NOT fulfil the dress code requirements for The School.

  • Comfortable, low-heeled shoes or trainers.
  • No jewellery other than a simple small wristwatch. Girls may also wear simple ear studs
  • Make-up including kohl (surma) and nail varnish are not allowed at The School
  • All clothing should be neat and tidy and in a good ironed state.
  • PE uniform for all pupils is a pale blue track suit with The School logo. The top must be worn loose and long, so that it does not show the body e.g. when jumping or bending down.

Pupils are expected to have this uniform on from the time when they enter The School gates and until the time when they leave The School gates. Ideally pupils will leave home and return home with their uniform on, however it should be noted that, what pupils wear outside The School gates is outside our jurisdiction.

Uniform on Educational Visits

All pupils will be expected to follow dress codes and uniform as stated above on Educational visits that are organised by The School.

Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari:

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said, "When a Muslim spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is regarded as Sadaqa for him."
