In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari:

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said, "When a Muslim spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is regarded as Sadaqa for him."

Form Tutors

The Form Tutor is the teacher who takes the daily registration of the class. Each class has a Form Tutor which (in most cases) will remain with them until the end of Key Stage 4 (unless the Tutor leaves the School etc.) thus:-

  • developing a sense of belonging;

  • having a teacher who has a complete picture of the pupil's performance and progression over the entire curriculum thus facilitating effective monitoring and assessment throughout the secondary education process.

The care of pupils is the responsibility of all staff. However, great significance is attached to the role of the Form Tutor and this is the person that should be the first point of contact for pupils and parents. Tutors are responsible for the welfare and discipline of their Form Class and will deal with any moral and social issues.

Pupils receive individual counselling from their Tutors at regular intervals in order to discuss a variety of issues, academic progress, target setting, individual needs and career advice.

The end of year results are collated by Form Tutors and the presentation of these results to the parents are done by the Form Tutors. Hence, all parents are encouraged to keep in close contact with their child's Tutor to promote a successful school career for their child.
