Since opening the school our aims and objectives have remained the same; they are as follows:
- To provide a high quality learning experience which leads to a consistently high level of pupil achievement
- To promote individual, intellectual and personal growth of each pupil. Preparing them for the next stages of their lives whilst enabling them to make the most of the opportunities offered to them
- To encourage respect for the school and its environment so that learning is a positive and pleasurable experience
- To be at the forefront of developments on innovative teaching and learning to enterprising and creative pupils. Our aim is for the highest standards in personal and social behaviour by providing spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, throughout the whole curriculum as well as in Islamic Studies. We strive for the highest standards of work and to develop academic and spiritual potential of our pupils whilst still maintaining an environment where they will enjoy their school life.
The School has a strong Islamic Ethos which was recognised by the 2007 OFSTED, who said:
The school provides a "..... distinctive focus on Islamic roots...."
"A strong Islamic Ethos permeates the school, with regular opportunities for prayer. Pupils learn to take responsibility for their actions and behaviour is good."
We are also proud of our first batch of GCSE results. We had 100% students receiving 5 GCSEs A*- C grades, with one exceptional student receiving 5A's and 5 A*'s
These results reflect the combined effort of pupils and staff. We wish to continue this success year after year, with no room for relaxation - we will continue to strive in achieving further excellence.
We warmly invite visitors to see us in action - please do get in touch. You are most welcome.
We look forward to meeting you.
Principal's Message
I am proud to see the thriving developments at Ayesha Community School since the opening in 2005. Over the past five years; staff, students, parents, trustees and the local community have been working hard to move the school forward.
The progress during this time has been enormous; from starting the school with 4 students in a house to moving into a purpose built school premises with over 240 students.
Alhamdulillah, we have made a successful transition from our humble site on West Hendon Broadway. All staff members have worked hard to adjust to the new building, making successful adaptations - maintaining high standards of teaching and learning throughout the transfer.
